Basmati, meaning “Queen of Fragrance” in Hindi, absorbs the nutrients and aroma of the Indian soil and the water of the melting snow to attain its lovely fragrance and delicate texture. Village Harvest ages its Basmati for one year in India in order to enhance its natural nutrients and flavors before importing it. A versatile rice, Basmati can be used in Persian and Indian cuisine and is an excellent side dish.
